UN Secretary General’s Report on the Status of the Death Penalty: Consultation Process
(10 April 2012) In view of the UN Secretary General’s forthcoming report on the question of the death penalty to the 21st session of the UN Human Rights Council (September 2012), civil society organisations are invited to share information covering relevant developments since 1 July 2011 on the question of the death penalty across the globe.
PRI submitted the following reports:
In collaboration with the Belarusian Human Rights House, Human Rights House Foundation (Geneva), and Human Rights Centre “Viasna” (Belarus), a report on the status of the death penalty in Belarus.
In collaboration with Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (Uganda), a report on the status of the death penalty in East Africa (Kenya and Uganda).
A report of the findings of PRI’s global conference on the abolition of the death penalty (held in London on 19-20 September 2011).
