We need your support!
We believe in what Nelson Mandela said: “No one really truly knows a nation until one has been inside its jails.” We believe that the ways in which suspects, offenders and prisoners are treated reflects country’s overall respect for human rights.
We support vulnerable people involved in criminal justice systems around the world, whether women in criminal justice systems, children in conflict with the law, people sentenced to life long imprisonment or people sentenced to death, as well as individuals on pre-trial detention.
By donating to PRI, you join a a wide range of donors and huge network of organisations, experts, human rights defenders and advocates who strive to protect the rights of vulnerable people in the criminal justice system.
Please commit to recurring monthly donations.
Any donation, small or large, helps us boost our resources to increase our ambitious work. You will help PRI:
- Help someone in prison access a lawyer so they can have a better chance of receiving a fair trial.
- Support training for prison officers so they are better equipped with knowledge and tools to treat people they supervise with dignity.
- Deliver rehabilitation programmes for people in prison so they can rebuild their lives better when released.
- Ensure the voices of people with lived experience are heard – and centered – in shaping fairer and more humane justice systems.
