About the Global Alliance of Civil Society on Prison Reform
The Global Alliance of Civil Society on Prison Reform was initiated in 2025 by Penal Reform International. The Alliance is made up of 80 civil society organisations globally.
This is a growing network of civil society organisations and individuals from around the world working together to advance humane, rights-based prison reform.
Led by Penal Reform International (PRI), the Alliance connects members to learn, collaborate and advocate for change: promoting rehabilitation, reintegration and dignity for all people in contact with the law.
