PRI and BLAST to hold Juvenile Justice roundtable in Bangladesh on 15 June 2013

On 15 June 2013, PRI and its local NGO partner BLAST, will be holding a national roundtable on violence against children in pre-trial and police detention.

The roundtable, will be chaired by the Hon Justice M Imman Ali, of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and a PRI Board Member, and will include representatives from government and civil society bodies that work on juvenile justice issues.

Discussion will focus on the findings of the PRI-BLAST 2013 report A review of Law and Policy to Prevent and Address Violence Against Children in Bangladesh (available in English and in summary in Bangla), and on identifying a clear way forward to follow up on the recommendations.
