Dear Ms Taleb-Karlsson.

In an article published by a medical doctor in a medical journal, it is stated that “Plea-bargain is not a legal practice in all countries. It does not exist in France, where confessions are obtained during close cross-interrogation, under no physical pressure. ” In another article the same author writes “plea- bargain is not practiced in the French judiciary system.”

Are these statements false? This is a very important issue in these articles and it is hugely misleading if these statements are false. If you can contact me at the supplied email address I would very much appreciate it
