Our work is dependent on learning from our own experience, our partners and the wider criminal justice sector. We seek to share our experience and analysis with others and aim to use our learning to influence policy-making and practice. In other words, we recognise the importance of organisational learning and are committed to developing our capacity to learn and share across our organisation and beyond.
In 2016, we developed an Organisational Learning Strategy to provide a clear statement of and action plan for how we take a learning approach in all of our work. The Strategy has five outcomes.
- We have a strong profile and play an active role in the wider sector drawing on evidence of high impact work.
- A reflective and strategic approach to programme development that helps to strengthen our financial resilience.
- Policy work draws on as well as informs our project work to create a strong two-way connection between policy and projects.
- A learning and reflective approach to project cycle management that increases the quality and impact of our projects.
- Skills, knowledge and capacity of staff are continuously developed and every member of staff is a reflective practitioner.
